Include factual research and hyperlink sources

External and internal linking helps Google understand how your article relates to other pages and provides more value to your readers by giving more resources and information.

On Hypotenuse AI, our AI does the research and hyperlinking for you as it generates the article.

1. How it works

As our AI generates the article, it researches the web in real time, identifies pages that your article could link to, and does the hyperlinking automatically.

When the draft is ready, you'll see some texts in blue. You can click on them—they link to reputable sources that are highly relevant to your article.

To get the most up-to-date, relevant and factual sources on your articles, simply toggle this on.

2. Managing pages to include or exclude

There are 3 ways to manage hyperlinking on your articles:

  1. Internal links: When you add your URL here, your article will link to relevant pages on your website and relevant pages from across the web.
  2. External links (Include only): If you add links here, your article will only link to these pages and not others, besides your internal links (if any).
  3. External links (Exclude): If you add links here, your article will link to any relevant pages from the web, and exclude all of these pages.

Internal links

If you'd like to link out to other pages within your website, simply add your URL here.

External links (Include only)

Let's say you're in the healthcare industry working on YMYL topics, you may only want to include selected medical sites like WebMD or research articles. Add those links here.

External links (Exclude)

Perhaps you'd like to exclude user-generated sources like Wikipedia or LinkedIn. Or you may wish to exclude any competitor sites from your article. You can add these URLs to the exclusion list here.

3. Other ways of managing your hyperlinks

If instead of specific URLs, your business runs by a set of guidelines or special logic when it comes to sources, our Enterprise plan offers customization as well.

Here are some examples:

  • Your target audience is more affluent and you may only want to recommend higher-tiered products or services
  • There's a category of pages you want to link to (e.g. aircraft engineering with at least 100k monthly visitors)

To rank on search engines, the quality of your article is non-negotiable—make sure to ground your content on factual and up-to-date sources and data where possible.
